An auto accident that occurred in Perry
County has claimed the life of a Hale County man and has left three others
injured, as reported by ABC. The deceased has been identified by
local law enforcement officers as 51 year old Johnny Lewis from Newbern. Lewis
was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency medical technicians.
The car accident occurred on
Alabama 61 about a mile north of Uniontown. The two cars involved in the
accident were a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driven by the victim Lewis while the
other car was a 2007 GMC Yukon operated by 28 year old Francesca Anita Eldridge
of Helena.
According to state law enforcement
troopers, the initial investigations suggest that alcohol may have been a
factor in the collision.
Eldridge had to be hospitalized for her
