Charges against the 69 year old include
felony gross sexual imposition and four other misdemeanor charges all premised
around a sexually charged incident involving another resident at Livingston
Care Center, which is appropriate according to circumstances of the case, say forthright
nursing home abuse lawyers.
The suspect was arrested on the premises
of the nursing home and staff members and nurses at the facility acknowledged
that he was in fact a resident. However, no one from the care facility was
available for comment the day following the arrest.
Turner has a pretty notorious record and
has gotten in trouble with the law on several occasions in the past for things
such as open container and disorderly conduct. Turner was even arrested for
robbery back in 2009. He is said to have been homeless for the over the past
decade during the time of his prior arrests - Dallas Turner is not a winner in
life or in spirit. His arraignment has been scheduled to occur in Dayton
Municipal Court.
You never really know what could happen in a nursing home. |
It appears Dallas Turner needs to go
away.
Lawmakers
Fail to Pass Tougher Penalties for Nursing Home Abuse
Nursing home abuse attorneys are of the
opinion that the failure of legislators to approve punishments for the crime of
nursing home abuse which are actually on par with the crime itself is
inexcusable. The state of Massachusetts has for reasons failed once again to
pass sensible laws which will curb and deter the abuse of elders at nursing
homes all across the state, as reported by bostonglobe.com.
State Senator Mark C. Montigny who
proposed the bill and gathered support for it was understandably upset after it
failed to pass the senate.
Regulations around nursing
home abuse laws need to be tightened unquestionably say nursing home
abuse lawyers in the state. The nursing home industry is being monopolized by
profit minded corporations and individuals and it is the responsibility of
those in power to ensure that senior citizens and nursing home residents
receive the care they require and deserve.
But other people believe there is
nothing wrong with making a profit considering the federal government makes
$400 billion a month and wastes most of that money. Dealing with the elderly is
very hard and if there is no money in it, then no one is going to do it.
State Senator Mark C. Montigny – there is
nothing wrong with wanting to hammer devious and evil people but being
anti-business is not necessary.
