A traffic accident between a female
pedestrian and a truck which occurred recently in Miller County has resulted in
the death of the pedestrian say sources within the Arkansas State Police
department. Drunk driving lawyers in Little Rock, AR are soaking up the details
on this one and the deceased woman has been identified as Casey McCarley (age
unknown) who is from Texarkana, as reported by ksla.com.
The vehicle involved in the accident has
been described in police reports as a GCM Sierra 2000 model and the accident is
said to have occurred at the intersection of County Road 22 and County Road 249
in Fourke, Arkansas, which is approximately 18 to 20 miles south southeast of
Texarkana, Arkansas. The GCM Sierra is said to have been moving in a northerly
direction on County Road 22 when it crashed into McCarley.
The police report, however, makes no
mention of who was in control of the truck neither does it address how exactly
the accident transpired. It is mentioned within the report that the crash is
currently being investigated, which drunk driving lawyers in Little Rock, AR
say will play an important role in determining the cause and liability, if any,
especially in an accident compensation claim.
A representative for Millers County jail
made a verbal statement confirming that a person identified as 34 year old
Lucas Connor McCarley was brought into the jail shortly after the accident was
reported and responded to. It was almost certain the McCarley’s arrest was in
connection with the DUI accident and consequent death of Casey
McCarley. Lucas McCarley is being charged with one count of negligent homicide,
one count of Driving While Intoxicated, one count of being in possession of a
controlled substance, and also one count of being in possession of drug
paraphernalia.
Lucas McCarley supposedly refused to be
subjected to a sobriety test and will also be tried for implied consent. Little
Rock, AR drunk driving accident attorneys know for sure that a driver’s license
will automatically be suspended for a year if he or she refuses to submit to
sobriety and blood or urine tests after being pulled over for DUI.
The deceased and the charged were a
couple that wed in February 2005. It looks like Lucas ran her down. Why they did
not obtain a divorce years ago no one knows.

Plea in Fatal Accident Lands Man on Probation – What is this Judge Thinking?!
21 year old Dylan A Meyer of Springfield
pleaded guilty to a fatal accident and involuntary manslaughter charge and was
sentenced recently. However, he was not handed a prison term, but instead given
probation in an eye brow raising decision recently, according to a news-leader.com report.
The judge must be a liberal who does not
believe in punishment or responsibility. Prosecutors were asking for 10 years.
Perhaps the judge does not care about human life. Why would the judge even put
his own life in danger, after all, he is an American too. Meyer is going be
driving around him on the same roads! Meyer was drunk and on drugs.
Meyer played the system and outsmarted
the system. Just like the guy did with the peanut butter in the story they told
in the movie Training day.
"I may get a 120 day treatment
program out of it, if I play this off like I'm an alcoholic," Meyer wrote.
Meyer wrote this in a letter to a friend.
In regards to the family of the victim,
Kelly Williams, – what do you think they think of the judge and Meyer right
now?
Meyer should be in prison for 20 years.
Why only ask for 10? What is going on in this country?
The family of Kelly Williams can sue Meyer
though and his insurance company. They can use this site Drunk-Driving-Accident.USAttorneys to find a legal
representative to try to make this right. This site has helped people all over
the country find the legal help they need.
