Man Charged with Drunk Driving after Ramming Car into Northeast Philadelphia Home

A man has been hit with drunk driving charges after he drove his car into a home in northeast Philadelphia earlier last week, as reported by 6abc.com. The crash occurred along the 6400 block of Algon Avenue near Hellerman Street.

According to the police report, the man was driving at a high speed when he lost control of the wheel, drove his car through the front lawn and rammed into the base of the home. He was driving a 2012 Nissan.

A drunk driving suspect has pleaded guilty to drunk driving in an accident where a woman who was out walking was hit and killed. The offender has been identified as Marc D. Delserro and the victim as 52 year old Melody Ann Johnson who was from Easton, according to mcall.com.

According to responding law enforcement officers who arrived at the crash site, Delserro was reeking of alcohol, and had blood shot eyes, but refused to submit to a breathalyzer or field sobriety test.
