Sugar Tycoon Owes Former Wife $11 Million as He Forgets to Sign Divorce Papers

The tycoon has been ordered to pay his ex-wife, who breeds and develops thoroughbreds, a sum of $11 million because he simply forgot to sign their revised divorce pact, as reported by NYpost.com.

Attention to detail matters - make sure you sign that paperwork. Sign a pre-nup as well - it can save you big time later.
According to David Rosenblum, he was under the impression that the terms of the divorce were already finalized and that he was going to pay his estranged former wife $5 million every year for the next twelve years.

The judge in charge of the case said that it would have taken Rosenblum and his divorce lawyer barely five seconds to sign the revised pact yet he failed to do so and now must pay the price, however costly it is. As a result, Daniel now has to immediately transfer a sum of $11 million over to his wife and settle another $61 million over a period of the next four years. Rosenblum was quoted saying, “I will be bankrupt before she is done”.
