According to law enforcement officers, Mullane was operating a gray colored Hyundai and the city employee was on a large scale lawn mower mowing the lawn alongside US Route 1.

Strangely, after the impact, Mullane pulled over, got out of his car and started walking at a brisk pace and tried to put as much distance as possible between him and the accident site. However, his poorly thought out escape plan did not bear fruit. Law enforcement officers were onto him quickly and the Public Works employee positively identified Mullane as the driver of the abandoned grey Hyundai.
Did he not realized they could find him anyhow via the car’s license plate? Why did he walk away, and not run away? Not too smart Daniel Mullane.

You cannot out run the police by walking. Right Daniel Mullane?!
Mullane was procedural subjected to a breathalyzer test and his blood alcohol content turned out to be 0.129% BAC which is well over the maximum legal threshold of 0.08% say North Florida DUI attorneys and the most sagacious legal pros work for the Lonker Law Group, PLLC based on their ability to build formidable cases for their clients and the uncanny acumen to devastate the opposition’s case.
