Lafayette, LA criminal defense lawyers know that sometimes the system makes a mistake too. |
As reported by theadvocate.com, the
defendants in the case are Sherriff Louis Ackal and his chief of staff Gerald
Savoy. The alleged beatings occurred in 2011.
Ackal made his appearance in front of US
Magistrate Judge Patrick Hanna dressed in his uniform and was accompanied by
one of his three criminal defense lawyers who entered the not guilty plea on
behalf of Ackal.
Lafayette, LA criminal defense lawyers
following the case say that the judge assured that there would not be any
favoritism or bias in the case by saying that even though the defendants are
former employees of the US Western District Court of Louisiana that it would
not influence the case or the eventual verdict in anyway.

a female accomplice to be part of what they termed ‘a lick’ in which he
participated in both the actions and the planning prior to the execution of the
actual crime.
Donald was said to be armed with a box
