(Kern, CA) – April 8th, 2016
– A large rig is reported to have crashed into a metal support pole earlier
this week on the southbound lanes of highway 99 according to officials of
California Highway Patrol that investigated the crash site, as reported by kerngoldenempire.com. Kern, CA truck accident
lawyers are reading about this case and watching how it develops.
According to eye witness reports, the
truck was travelling on southbound Highway 99 a couple of miles to the north of White Lane and was in the slow moving lane (the right hand lane) when the accident occurred. Eye
witnesses say there was no obvious external force or factor and that the truck
driver, for some unknown reason, allowed the truck to drift off the lane and
into the dirt shoulder and then into the rail along the shoulder of the
highway. The truck only came to a rest after grinding against the shoulder and
then hitting a metal support pole for an overhead roadway sign.
As per expert truck accident
investigators, it was after this collision that the truck went up in flames and
California Highway Patrol officials were able to coordinate with emergency fire
crews who were able to put out the fire in under 15 minutes thanks to their
quick actions and excellent training.
The exact cause of the accident is not
yet known but there is reason to suspect that the driver had fallen asleep
behind the wheel of the truck. He certainly did not do it on purpose! Kern, CA
truck accident lawyers point out that driver fatigue is one of the major causes
of accidents for which many victims file
truck accident claims.
Truck drivers are mandated to receive
plenty of sleep time though. The laws are concrete on this.

Man
from Whittier to be Tried for 3 Counts of Second Degree Murder
35 year old Dealio Lockhart could be
spending a very long time behind bars in prison if convicted of his charges,
according to mynewsla.com. Lockhart faces three counts
of second degree murder and also four counts of reckless driving stemming from
a racing accident which led to a multi vehicle accident on Golden State (5)
Freeway in Commerce and claimed the lives of three people.
His bail has been set at a staggering
$6.2 million but his legal counselor is in the process of attempting to lower
that amount to $250,000.
The judge in the case was moved by a
whole bunch of letters from people who knew the defendant and had worked with
him in the past testifying to him being a good citizen. However, the judge said
that sometimes good people do bad things and there will be consequences.
Lockhart has a clean criminal record so far, he was a college student who also
worked as a field producer on the TV show “Dancing with the Stars”.
Lockhart made a horrendous mistake and
will have to pay for it. With all the mayhem, you would think this would have
been a truck accident with Kern, CA truck accident attorneys being involved.
He should have just watched Fast 7 and
been satisfied with that. Lockhart should have just watched Street Outlaws on
Discovery Channel and not try to duplicate what they do on a road that is
empty. Lockhart obviously did not conduct this race that well at all.
