Famillias En Accion and Los Ninos
Cuentan are two nonprofit organizations that are now plaintiffs in a lawsuit
against Oregon Governor, Kate Brown and several other Department of
Transportation authorities. Apart from the two nonprofit organizations already
mentioned, plaintiffs in the case also include five illegal, undocumented
immigrants, as reported by numbersusa.com.
The premise of the case is that the
constitutional rights of the illegal immigrants were violated when voters voted
against State Bill 833 and did not allow its passage. The State Bill was
essentially drafted and proposed to allow illegal immigrants to be issued
drivers licenses (DL) which some immigration lawyers and OK with and others are
not so sure about.
New Mexico has proven that allowing
illegals to drive is a terrible idea. When New Mexico allowed this, a cottage industry
was ignited and fake DLs were being sent all over the country illegally.
If you cannot understand English, should
you be allowed to drive?
According to the now dead State Bill
833, the Department of Transportation authorities were required to provide
driver’s licenses to anyone who could drive competently enough irrespective of
what their immigration status was as long as they had resided in Oregon for
over one year. Whether or not they spoke English, not a big deal.
Allowing people to drive who do not know
English is a danger to all Americans.
Immigration attorneys tell us that the
bill had actually made it through state legislature and was signed into law in
2013. However, Oregonians for Immigration Reform, a group dedicated to
pro-immigration enforcement acquired 58,000 signatures which allowed for a
ballot initiative where the voters got to decide whether or not they wanted the
proposed State Bill to actually translate into state law or not. The voting
took place and the bill was overwhelmingly opposed by a large majority of
people and hence turned down from actually being put into effect.
Common sense prevailed.

Woman
from Miami-Dade Arraigned for Immigration Fraud
61 year old Josefa Siverio awaits trial
after being slapped with federal immigration fraud charges. In her preliminary
hearing, the woman pleaded not guilty to charges
including mail fraud and theft of money orders and checks, according
to a miamiherald.com report.
Siverio is originally from Cuba and is
the newest addition to the list of defendants in a case premised around
immigration fraud that was uncovered by federal authorities in South
Florida.
According to allegations made by the US
Attorney’s office, Siverio orchestrated the filing of as many as 146 fraudulent
petitions and applications for her “clients” as a paid service. The lawsuit
does not specify how much exactly the woman charged per filing and how much net
profit she pocketed on the whole until she was apprehended for the same by
federal authorities.
Siverio is not a licensed immigration
lawyer and was not qualified to help or provide anyone with their legal
immigration status. She is certainly not on the list of lawyers on the website
found above and below linked to this article.
Venezuelan
Immigration Fraud Suspect Terminates Lawyer’s Contract
Miamiherald.com reports that an exile
Venezuelan woman charged with immigration fraud for filing fraudulent
immigration applications and charging her immigrant customers for the same has
fired her immigration lawyer after having pleaded not guilty during her initial
hearing.
Venezuela is a socialist country (just
like Bernie Sanders) who has killed jobs, wiped out opportunities for its
citizens, stifled innovation, destroyed progress, and so on – this is what big
government does. The Venezuelan government is also corrupt. They make the
American IRS look like the Boy Scouts.
If
you require help upgrading your immigration status or in acquiring a visa or
work permit to enter the US, the best course of action would be to
setup a meeting with an immigration lawyer as soon as time permits.
