Woman from Alabama Slapped with 51-month Sentence for Tax Fraud

56 year old Pamela Ann Smith who hails from Lanett, Alabama has been sentenced to spend 51 months behind bars in state prison after she was convicted for tax fraud, according to an Alabama Dept. of Justice report. The woman was involved in one of the biggest stolen identity tax refund scams. Tax lawyers report an incredible surge in such scams all across the nation this year.

The tax code is so complicated and there are so many gullible people out there because of America’s weak educational system there is a huge market for this. On top of this, when America see the President act like he does not care about this country many Americans fall in step.

However and moreover, Smith is no newbie to this game and has been involved in such tax scams since 2007 and had a good run going from 2007 – 2012 where she spearheaded a large scale SIRF scheme from her tax preparation services business in Phenix City, Alabama. Her company is known as Jaycal Tax Service and this tax business is probably not one you want to use to file your taxes with.

Smith and Her Son Scammed the IRS out of nearly $4 Million

Smith even made the scamming a family business by appointing her own son, Calvin Perry and a friend of his, Ernest Simmons, Jr., to help her out in the elaborate scheme. Their scams involved the opening of several frivolous bank accounts and the renting of multiple post boxes say tax attorneys. This is not the most ethical family around. This is about as corrupt as The Clinton Foundation or Al Gore’s media company.

Over the years, the trio are said to have filed an incredible 1,200 odd federal income tax returns with the use of stolen identifications of actual American citizens. They also had their victims’ social security numbers and other personal information handy during the time of the scam. How convenient.

It is estimated that the three of them together filed frivolous and fraudulent tax returns which cheated the Internal Revenue System out of as much as $4 million.

Smith did not, however, appoint a tax lawyer and defend herself against the allegations, she simply pleaded guilty to them back in November of 2015 to one count of conspiracy and fraud against the government with respect to the filing of fabricated and fraudulent tax returns.

Apart from the 51 month prison sentence, Smith will also be required to pay as much as $340,000 in restitution and following her release she will be subjected to three years of supervision. When she gets out of prison she can hop on welfare and continue to rip off America.

These corrupt and greedy politicians around the world have very little respect for the bourgeois as well.
