Criminal defense lawyers across Florida agree,
but many other Americans are not happy with this at all, that the Supreme Court
of the United States have made the right decision by ruling that teen killers
that have been handed life sentences should
get another chance at parole.
What is wrong with America’s Supreme
Court?
As reported by wtsp.com, Florida has already amended and
reformed their state legislation allowing over 1,000 underage convicts to challenge
their sentences. The Supreme Court made their ruling as they recognized that
there is a distinction between adults and children. So a 17 year old does not
know that rape is wrong? So a 16 year old does not know that beating someone into
oblivion is wrong? Does America need a new Supreme Court?
Has any of the Supreme Court members who
voted for this new law had any of their family members murdered and/or raped?
Kendrick Morris is a brutal killer and
now could be a free man!
Kendrick Morris, who has been handed
four 65 year prison terms, may now be eligible for parole. His crime? Brutally
raping and beating Queena Vuong outside a Bloomingdale library in 2008. Queena
Vuong is still disabled and cannot walk, talk, hear, or eat by herself. What is
wrong with this picture?
Queena’s Sister Anna commented about the
ruling and said that Morris is exactly where he belongs. Anna also additionally
commented that just because a person is younger it does not mean that they do
not know the difference between wrong and right.
The case is now back in trial. The Vuong
family have gone through one trial already and will need to show up for one more
in order to fight to keep the sinister Morris locked up in prison.
Some people believe if a juvenile commits an adult crime they should do adult time. Many Americans believe many of these juveniles should be executed for their crimes. A 17 year old cannot tell the difference between right and wrong?
General
Motors Accuses an Oklahoman of Lying While Under Oath
Robert Scheuer, who has been accused by the
bankrupt and bailout recipient car maker General Motors of lying under oath,
has now hired a criminal defense attorney to defend himself in trial. Scheuer
initially had filed a lawsuit against general motors claiming that their
ignition switches were faulty and disabled his air bag from deploying in a car
crash back in 2014, according to a Bloomberg report.
However, legal professionals
representing General Motors in the case have now turned the tables around are
pointing fingers at Scheuer claiming that he completely made up stories about
how he and his family were evicted due to the accident in order to gain
sympathy and pin the blame on the car makers.
Scheuer’s criminal defense lawyer
refrained from passing any comments about the allegations. However, another
legal counselor that used to represent Scheuer in the initial case claims that
General Motors is trying to divert attention from the actual case by making
such claims and that the actual question that needs to be addressed is whether
or not General Motors are in fact liable for faulty ignition switches and the
consequent damages.
If General Motor’s allegations that
Scheuer lied while under oath is proven correct, then Scheuer and his wife may
both be hit with federal criminal perjury convictions. Not good!
Bill
Cosby’s Legal Counsel Appeal to Dismiss Case against Him
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Bill
Cosby’s criminal defense lawyer has filed petition on the grounds that the
lawsuit being brought against Bill Cosby was not filed in a timely manner.
Furthermore, the defense also claims that due to advancing age Bill Cosby has
lost his memory and vision which makes it difficult to read documents, watch
video evidence, examine photographs or even identify witnesses, etc. thereby
making it tough for him to work with legal representatives to build a defense
for himself.
