DUI Suspect Tried Hiding in a Yard after Causing Car Accident

Why not just remain at home and read a book? Well, some people just want to make life more difficult.

Milford Police have confirmed that a man from Ansonia attempted to hide in a yard thinking he would evade arrest by doing so after causing an accident while allegedly driving under the influence. Thankfully, no other vehicle was involved and nobody sustained any injuries.

Drunk drivers make poor decisions. They cannot even hide properly!
It was a single car crash and the suspect had ploughed into a utility pole and then left the scene on foot only to go hide in a yard, as reported by nhregister.com. According to New Haven, CT drunk driving accident lawyers, and the best in this part of the country is Jonathan Perkins (www.800perkins.com/), in addition to the DUI charge the suspect is most likely to be charged with hit and run, which attracts additional penalties. Apparently he did not know he could also have been found via the car’s license plate.

The suspect has been identified by drunk driving accident lawyers as 24 year old Paul Robles. He was discovered hiding in a yard of a nearby residence and was subsequently arrested. The information was released by Milford Police spokesperson Joseph Dempsey in a press release conducted earlier this week.

Drunk drivers pose a threat to everyone.
The accident was reported to 911 by callers who identified the accident site as the intersection between Rock Street and Seabreeze Avenue. Robles was supposedly driving under the influence and law enforcement officers also testified that when he was discovered hiding, he would not take a breathalyzer test. The suspect is a resident of Crescent Street in Ansonia and is now facing charges of driving under the influence, fleeing the scene of an accident, property damage, driving without a valid driver’s permit, driving uninsured, failure to drive right, and the misuse of registration plate.

It is not sure whether or not Robles has a legal professional to represent him in the case. Prosecutors say considering the nature and number of charges against him, if found guilty in a court of law the suspect could spend several months or years behind bars, most likely a few weeks.
