Perry County bore witness to a harrowing wreck that occurred on Forrest
Service Road 304 near Highway 29, as reported by wdam.com. The single crash
took the life of a Hattiesburg resident, 18 year old Sydney Stewart and injured
5 others. The officers at the scene transferred Ms. Stewart to Forrest General
Hospital but she died Monday afternoon. According to coroner Butch Benedict’s
report, Stewart died due to extensive internal injuries.
Officers say that the alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
However, they refused to elaborate any further since they are awaiting
toxicology reports. Investigations are still ongoing and no charges have been

Chain-Reaction Wreck Kills Three
from the same Family
52 year old Concepcion Matute died in a chain reaction crash on US 49 due
to blunt force trauma according to Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove. His
13 year old daughter Rosaline Matute who was in the back seat too died on
Wednesday, as reported by therepublic.com.
The family on Thursday suffered yet another tragedy when Matute’s 16 year
old daughter Julisa succumbed to her injuries. Mississippi Highway Patrol says
that Matute’s car was standing at a traffic signal when he was hit by other
vehicles that created the pile up. A 6 year old boy and an 80 year old man were
also injured but they will recover fully according to Garden Park Medical
Center.
Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of St.
Martin Man
According to a gulflive.com report, a 29 year old man
was killed in a bike crash on Seaman Road in Ocean Springs, not far from Gulfport.
Mike Ezell of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said that the motorcycle was
travelling east on the South Seaman road when it tried to overtake a vehicle at
high speed. The bike lost control and landed on the embankment. The police were
able to identify the victim as Joseph A. Brejcak resident of St. Martin. The
crash in fact happened near his house. The accident is under investigation.
