Actor and Former ARC Student Charged for Child Pornography and Extortion

Christian Brian Hirtzel who is a former student of American River College (ARC) was taken into custody on Jan 22^nd on charges of six felony violations including extortion and child pornography. ARC is a junior college outside of the eastern part of Sacramento.

He had attended ARC from 2012 to 2014 and had participated in various ARC theatre productions. According to a statement released by Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department two girls reported him first to the school administration, supported by statement from two other girls, as reported by arcurrent.cm. 

The charges slapped on him are computer crime, accessing someone else’s computer without permission with the intent to extort, trying to involve a minor in sexual act, intentionally involving minors to assist in obscene matters, and basically being out of control and a fool. Allegations against Hirtzel

His accuser said in a statement that he gained access to her email and stole some of her photos. She said that he was constantly threatening her that he would post the stolen snaps online if she does not send him more nude pictures and that she should oblige him by masturbating on Skype for him to watch.
