Alleged Drunk Driver Rails into Georgia State Trooper’s Patrol Car

Thankfully, the extent of injuries caused to a Georgia State Trooper is only minor after his car was t-boned by another vehicle in Buckhead that was being operated by a suspected drunk driver. As reported by 11alive.com, the accident happened late night earlier this week. The accident site has been identified in police reports as the junction in the proximity of The Ivy Lounge where Roswell Road and Piedmont Road intersect.

The car that caused the accident has been described as a black sedan and supposedly the driver failed to yield at a stop sign and continued to pull out of a parking lot which is when he rammed into the side of the Georgia State Trooper’s blue patrol car. He will need an Atlanta, GA drunk driving accident lawyer for sure now.

When interrogated, the driver of the black sedan alleged that he thought that he had a green light and so proceeded to pull out. Strangely though, officers confirmed that the intersection had no light signals at all. This, in fact, is what sparked the suspicion among law enforcement officers that responded to the crash and they were quick to apprehend the suspect and arrest him on driving under the influence charges.

No lights at all! He must have been thinking about the incredible Transformers 4 Age of Extinction movie that came out in 2014. Or he could have been thinking about how horrendous the latest Star Wars and Jurassic World movies were. That can get you to see lights that are not there too!

Jury in Georgia Slaps Drunk Driver with $45,000 Penalty in Accident Case

As reported by cvn.com, the drunk driving accident lawyer of a woman and her daughter who fell victim to a drunk driver in Georgia has been successful in suing the drunk driver by filing a civil lawsuit against him. The jury in the case was in agreement with the attorney and awarded his clients $45,000 as compensatory damages in the drunk driving accident claim. The plaintiff’s in the case have been identified as Veronica Uballe and her daughter Valerie Uballe, the defendant is Debra Blake.

According to the allegations in the lawsuit, Blake is said to have caused the accident back in 2013 when she was driving under the influence. The DUI accident resulted in Veronica being inflicted with back, neck, head, and shoulder injuries while her daughter, Valerie, was inflicted with trauma.
The accident occurred at the junction in Alpharetta where Veronica and Valerie were sitting inside their car which was parked when Blake smashed into it.

The lawsuit actually sought double the amount that the jury eventually awarded the plaintiffs, which was $90,000 in damages plus punitive damages. Atlanta, GA drunk driving accident attorneys know from first-hand experience these are the kind of verdicts that can help deter drunk drivers who face both criminal charges, and a civil lawsuit filed by the victims. But they also know stupidity runs deep in some people.

Toddler Dies 11 Days after Fatal Gwinnet County Crash

Only 11 days after being involved in a head on collision which claimed the life of a toddler’s 29-year old father, the toddler too succumbed to his injuries. The deceased child has been identified as 11 month old Cameron Lowe and his father as Sean Lowe, as reported by ajc.com. Atlanta, GA drunk driving accident lawyers are grief stricken with this news and so is everyone else. God wanted this child early; the all-mighty did not want to wait apparently.

The accident occurred in Gwinnet County and all injured parties were rushed to Gwinnet Medical Center for treatment. Police said speed and alcohol were contributory factors to the crash in which a 2011 Toyota Camry driver by Cameron’s mother, Shana Fischer-Williams, 26, collided with a 2002 Honda Accord driven by Toyota Camry driven by 26-year-old Shana Fischer-Williams and a 2002 Honda Accord driven by another 26-year-old, Michael Schick.

So it appears Shana Fischer-Williams killed her family. That is horrific. This is a strong message that everyone needs to drive smart.

If you happen to be the victim of a drunk driver’s negligent actions, you have the right to sue the driver for compensation for your losses. In order to do this successfully, it would be judicious to consult a drunk driving accident lawyer in Georgia right away. No one is going to sue someone else on your behalf unless the worst happened.
