One Person Injured after SUV Collides with Fire Truck in Buena Park

(Orange County, CA) – May 20th, 2016 – An Orange County Fire Authority ladder truck was involved with an accident with a Cadillac Escalade in Buena Park. The fire truck was responding to a call regarding a structure fire with lights and sirens on when it collided with the SUV at the intersection of Fillmore Drive and Western Avenue.

Santa Ana High School Field Coach Killed in Accident Involving Dump Truck

As reported by ocregister.com, a 59 year old Santa Ana man was unfortunately killed after his 2001 Toyota Camry collided with a California Department of Transportation dump truck. The accident occurred on the 241 freeway in Orange County. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim has been identified as Joe Philips who was southbound on the freeway when he struck the center median and then rear ended a stationary Caltrans.

His vehicle then veered onto the right shoulder and stuck another Caltrans Ford F-150 truck. The Toyota continued for a distance before stopping on the right shoulder. FedEx Big Rig Injures CHP officer; Driver Arrested for DUI

41 year old Gregory Anthony Ramirez of San Lorenzo, a FedEx driver, has been arrested for DUI after causing an accident that injured a California Highway Patrol officer. As reported by sacbee.com, the officer suffered major injuries and had to be rushed to a local hospital. The officer was responding to a two car collision that took place earlier on Highway 50 when Ramirez’s FedEx struck him. While the officer is seriously injured he is expected to survive.


The police officers at the scene of the first accident were in the process of moving the two vehicles away from the site onto the highway’s shoulder.
