Elderly Man in Wheelchair was Hit by a Car in Stonington

A senior man is in a critical medical condition after a car struck his motorized wheelchair and caused it to disintegrate where the seat and the wheels came apart. The accident occurred mid-week on Route 1 in the Pawcatuck area of Stonington near Mayflower Avenue, as reported by NBC.

A car crash victim that died last weekend has been identified by local law enforcement officers as an off duty firefighter, as reported by patch.com.
