Professional football quarterback Peyton
Manning who plays for the Denver Broncos is now under the scanner as claims originating
from almost 20 years ago have once again resurfaced. The allegations are
basically that Manning sexually assaulted a female trainer during his tenure at
the University of Tennessee, according to an ABC News report.
Some people believe this information is
coming from an irrational Tom Brady fan who is upset that Peyton is righteous
and Brady is not.
The quarterback has been buzzing after
only very recently having won the super bowl. However, his joy was short lived
and he has been dragged back down to earth with these claims against him coming
into the spotlight yet again say sexual harassment lawyers.
The lawsuit was filed only earlier last
week and the plaintiffs are six women whose sexual harassment attorneys allege
that the University of Tennessee (UT) basically condoned sexual harassment.
Manning is not alone in this mess. There are other athletes that have been
accused by the women too. Are they looking to get paid? What is the statute of
limitations on this?
This is the same QB who fed the homeless
after Hurricane Katrina and the federal government proved inept. This showed
the country again why relying on the government is foolhardy. Why rely on
bureaucrats who do not care about you? Military veterans know all about this in
regards to the VA. UT may have a problem but the time for this against Manning
is way too late.
The woman who was allegedly assaulted by
Manning is a high profile trainer named Jamie Naughright, who claims that she
was examining the football player’s foot when he forced his private parts onto
her. She then apparently referred Manning to a sexual assault crisis center.
This incident occurred back in 1996, supposedly. The best QB of all time may be
the target someone who is jealous. America is trillions of dollars in debt and
has a 15 percent unemployment rate, there are bigger fish to fry.
Manning
Mentioned Incident in His Book
Back in 1997, Manning completely denied
having done any such thing to Naughright. Naughright also sued UT itself for
negligence and then accepted a settlement offer from the University as a part
of which she had to quit her position at UT. So she was paid and she is
bringing this up again?
Manning mentioned the incident in his
biography – Manning: A Father, His Sons, and A Football Legacy. He wrote in the
book that what transpired should never qualify as sexual harassment and/or
sexual assault, and he claimed that he was humorously mooning a fellow athlete
and Naughright caught him. Supposedly, she was just looking for an excuse to
sue the school.
Naughright was definitely not a fan of
the book and had proceeded to file a defamation lawsuit against Manning, his
father Archie, John Underwood (the writer of the book), and Harper Collins (the
publisher). She claimed that the description in the book cast her in a bad
light and was simply not true.
It seems someone ran out of money and
needs some more.
Woman
Paid $820,000 by Army as Settlement in Sexual Harassment Suit
An ex female police trainee and her
sexual harassment lawyer have successfully recuperated $820,000 from the army
after filing a sexual harassment lawsuit alleging that she
was unfairly removed from her post when she reported the sexual harassment that
a supervisor was subjecting her to, as reported by ABC News.
It looked set to enter the trial stage,
but the defendants offered an almost last minute settlement that the
plaintiff’s legal counsel agreed to. The settlement was done for $820,000. Wow!
A little turmoil at work and now you can afford a large house, a boat, and a Lamborghini!
That is amazing! There are soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq making $23,000 a
year and that includes tax free pay and free rent and you can be paid this much
money for being treated wrongly. Not a bad deal.
If you are facing sexual harassment at the work place and are
worried that raising the alarm bells may result in retaliation and you being
fired, then the best course of action would be to consult with a sexual
harassment lawyer who will know exactly how to handle the case and how to make
the perpetrator pay for their wrong doings.
Sexual harassment is not right for the
following reasons:
- It demeans people
- It affects them for life
- It is immoral
- It is counter productive
- Every human being should treated with respect
