State Law Enforcement officers from
Vermont are currently investigating a two car accident that occurred earlier last
week and are trying to determine what exactly transpired in causing the auto crash
with the help of investigators, as reported by wcax.com.
According to law enforcement officers, a
couple from Maine who were travelling on Route 100 witnessed the accident in
which a woman driving a car supposedly fell asleep and drove into a parked car
in a driveway.
The impact of the collision caused the
parked car to be pushed off the driveway and into a river directly below it.
The owner of the car that was hit has been identified as Christine Slater who
said she came to the scene and saw that there was a deep gauge in her yard. Accident
lawyers from Barre, VT reiterate that the at-fault driver can be held liable
for property damage as well.
Both the driver who allegedly nodded off
and the passenger were transported to a nearby medical facility. Their current
medical condition is not known at the moment.

(a male) was killed at the scene of the accident while a female passenger was
transported to University of Vermont Medical Center with serious injuries.
The driver of the farm truck, another
