In the future, if you happen to be
pulled over by a law enforcement officer in Fulton, odds are that he or she
would be wearing a body camera which will record both the officer and your
behavior, as reported by ajc.com.
According to Fulton County, GA DUI
lawyers, who can be find right here at this monumental website DUI-USAttorneys.com that is turning virtual heads every day,
the law enforcement unit of Fulton is in the process of approving an order for
bulk amount of body cameras so the next time you are pulled over, it would be
best to watch what you say.
This means the officers will not have
any privacy. How many of them will transfer because of this new rule? Is this
an invasion of privacy? Can the officers ever turn them off?
In the recent past, such body cameras
and their usage have risen in the metro Atlanta area and with it have come a
surge in questions being asked about such body cameras and public access to the
videos that these body cameras will capture.
The Fulton Police Department is said to
be spending an amount in the order of $470,000 in order to purchase a
sufficient amount of cameras so all of their law enforcement officers can be
fitted with one. These cameras, say Atlanta, Georgia DUI attorneys, will bring
about transparency and a sense of trust among law enforcement officers and the
community. Or will it just make the officers nervous and more prone to
mistakes?
There have been many cases where what
transpired during an arrest or alleged police abuse is up for debate and it is
the law enforcement officer’s word versus the suspect or victim so there really
is not much to go by. However, these body cameras will put an end to such
debates and the video will serve as concrete and ultimate evidence in all such
cases going forward.
It is amazing people still drink and drive. |
For the most part, not everyone is so
optimistic about the inception of body cameras. Francys Johnson, the NAACP
Georgia chapter president, says the body cameras are not the solution to their
problem and obviously neither is Obamacare since that has been a job killer for
cities across America.
He was of the opinion that law
enforcement officers have been using dashboard cameras for years now and it
hasn't done much to help which other people believe is not true. If you attack
a police officer you may get shot, how come the NAACP cannot figure that out?
Likewise, he says, if policing in general is not revolutionized and improved,
the body cameras will only serve to record more civilian deaths at the hands of
law enforcement officers. Revolutionized? Improved? What does that mean?
America has some of the best police officers in the world.
America needs to get political
correctness out of its schools and stop graduating people who can barely read.
How come community organizers and the NAACP not understand that? Then perhaps
the chaos that Fulton County, GA DUI lawyers see all the time will be
mitigated. If you do not hold inner city children to the same standard, or any
standard, then society is failing its children.
Dashboard cameras have recording how
dangerous the police officer’s job is - that is exactly what they have done. Too many Americans do not respect
authority which is critical for a democracy to work. If you are not going to
cooperate, perhaps you should consider moving out of America. America wants good
people, not violent bullies in our communities like Michael Brown.
Police officers do make mistakes at
times which could serve the defendant well in beating
a DUI charge, say DUI lawyers in Atlanta, GA.
