Truck and School Bus Collide in East Charlotte

A crash between a truck and a school bus that occurred in East Charlotte early in the morning last week thankfully did not result in anyone becoming seriously injured. According to Charlotte Mecklenburg Police, a pickup truck rear ended a school bus near Central Avenue just in front of Eastway Drive.

As reported by wcnc.com, the school bus was transporting children to Marry Oaks Elementary School just a little before 7 am when the incident occurred. As many as 40 students were said to be on board the bus during the time of the impact. Accident investigators and responding law enforcement officers confirmed that none of the students were injured in the accident.

Interstate 77 going North Closed after Tanker Truck Accident near Huntersville

A tanker truck accident that occurred in the proximity of Huntersville caused a shut down on Interstate 77 when the truck crashed through a barrier wall at a construction zone close to exit 23, as reported by wsoctv.com.

The crash was covered by news helicopters where images showed that the tanker truck had ploughed right through a concrete barrier. Images also showed that a Loomis truck was stuck in between the tanker and a barrier wall.

Hazmat authorities responded to the call as an emergency especially since a fuel spill was involved and it was then treated as a potential fire hazard. Officials from the department of transportation were busy trying to reroute traffic and directed them instead into Gilead Road and worked tirelessly in order to relieve traffic.

Dump Truck Ploughs into Unoccupied House and Destroys It

Autoblog.com reports that a driver who comes from North Carolina was driving without a license and caused an accident that resulted in a dump truck driver losing control, veering off the road, and ploughing into an unoccupied house and destroying it almost completely.
