Rexburg Doctor Enters Plea Deal Following Domestic Violence Charge

One would expect a doctor to treat his wife well, or any husband for that matter, but a Rexburg doctor chose to do otherwise. According to a postregister.com report, 60 year old Michael Larson is set to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge in Wyoming Circuit Court. The charges stems from the doctor having abused his wife on Nov. 27th last year.

Initially, Larson was charged on several counts for domestic battery, four misdemeanor counts, felonious restraint, and one count for endangering children. He is reported to have kicked and punched his 42 year old wife. The attorneys for Larson and the prosecution reached a plea agreement on the 17th of Feb. where Larson will be incarcerated for 60 days and will be on probation for two years.

As part of the plea deal, four of the five counts were dismissed. He will plead guilty to a false imprisonment charge and one count of domestic battery. Larson will be sentenced on March 11th. He will serve his jail term in Fremont County, Wyoming and his probation in Madison County, Idaho. Any violation of probation will lead to a 180-day discretionary jail period.

Larson’s wife filed for divorce, the record of which is sealed. The plea agreement does not include visitation rights that the doctor may have with his two children.

On the night of the domestic violence incident, Wyoming police officers were forced to ram a locked gate to gain entry to a remote cabin northwest of Dubois. Larson’s wife told officers that he had been drinking and slammed her head against the ground and bit her nose. She was treated at SageWest Health Care Hospital in Lander, WY.

Larson must have watched House too much considering House acted like a small child once and slammed drove his car into the front of Lisa Cuddy’s home. It was so pathetic. Walter White and House had that in common, they could not control their emotions. Larson must fall in this category. Very sad.
