Semi Hits Bull and Tree Injuring Child and Man

Kansas Highway patrol reported that they responded to an accident scene on Saturday 9 am in Kiowa County on US 183. 28 year old Jeffery Allan Fuhrmann was travelling northbound in his semi-truck when he hit a black bull that was standing on the roadway. The semi veered towards the left and landed in a ditch after hitting a tree in the process. Salinapost.com reports that Fuhrmann and his passenger, 7 year old Riley Rosenburger, were taken to a Greensburg hospital after they were retrieved from the flipped SUV. They were wearing seat belts.

The bull obviously did not look both ways before it began to cross the street. No word on the condition of the bull right now.

‘Angell’ Rescues Family from Horrific Car Crash

David and Heather Neal were travelling east on the I-70 near in the Bonner Spring area when their car hydroplaned and slammed into a nearby dump truck. The accident pinned David onto his seat and injured Heather who continued calling 911. Kshb.com said later that their main concern was their nieces and their daughter who were in the back seat of the vehicle.

However, a fellow commuter, Joe Angell, pulled over to help them. He broke the glass with his cane and helped the children out of the vehicle one by one. Heather Neal says that this gentleman also helped her husband to get the pressure off his chest. He waited until the paramedics arrived and also followed the ambulance to the hospital. The Samaritan left after he was sure everyone was ok. They all sustained minor cuts and bruises. Heather Neal injured her left leg and one of her nieces broke an arm.

When the roads are wet, you have to drive a little slower.
