Texas DPS has confirmed that another victim of the fatal
McDade crash has died. 10-year-old Jackson, Alexander sustained injuries in
the crash and passed away from them. Jackson is the fourth victim to die from
Friday's crash and this has caused Austin accident lawyers to try to determine
what happened, according to Fox 7.
Three victims have been identified by
the Texas Department of Public Safety from the McDade crash that killed three
people and injured three others.
The victims were identified as:
two-year-old Aaron Galvis, Angelica Ortega age 30 (the driver of the SUV who
seems to have caused the crash), and James Matthew Alexander, of Cedar Park who
was 43.
According to authorities, Ortega was
driving the SUV that drifted into the eastbound lane of highway 290, with
two-year old Galvis inside, and collided with a pickup truck, driven by
Alexander. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Statesman.
DPS identified Jackson and Daniel
Alexander, aged 10 and 7 respectively, the victims from the pickup truck are in
critical condition and are being cared for at UMC Brackenridge and there was a
third vehicle also involved and the car driver, 47-year-old Steve Guerra, from
Austin, had to be taken to the hospital as well for injuries.
According to officials of the Texas
Department of Public Safety, one of the victims who died was on his way to a
funeral in Houston with his family. Now Austin, TX accident attorneys know another
funeral must be planned.
A DPS Trooper reported that a couple
with two children, were eastbound on US 290, when an SUV driving the wrong way,
crashed into their Ram 1500.
Barrera said that the man and the female
driver of the SUV and her 3 or 4 year old son, died at the scene. The man’s
wife and her two sons, ages 7 and 10, were taken to University Medical Center
Brackenridge in critical condition as stated above.
This is a tragedy and no knows why
Ortega drifted into the oncoming lane.
