Seattle Law Enforcement Fails to Respond to Alleged Drunk Driving Accident

A car accident that occurred in January 2016 in Seattle left two drivers involved completely shocked at the fact that the Seattle Police Department failed to even respond to the emergency despite them having made repeated calls to 911, as reported by king5.com. What makes the situation worse is the fact that the two drivers believed that the driver that caused the accident was drunk and would probably end up injuring or worse killing someone else if he was not stopped immediately.

Drunk driving accident lawyers are perplexed with this story.

One of the two drivers, Marian Oxford, testifies that it began as she drove along Lake City Way back on the 14th of January. Oxford was making her way back home to Kirkland from her job in Seattle when she witnessed a four door sedan plough right into a traffic sign and then into her Toyota Pick Up truck. Only about ten minutes had passed after the impact when Oxford made the emergency call to 911.

Oxford informed the 911 dispatcher who answered that her car was blocking traffic and the other car had jammed into her car so she was unable to even move her car and requested that the dispatcher send someone as soon as possible.

More witnesses called the SPD too, but to no avail

Additionally, two other victims also reported the accident at around the same time and yet emergency responders failed them all, say drunk driving accident attorneys.

Another woman, identified as Jennifer Aspenlund, witnessed the accident and stopped to give her contact information as a witness in the case and was about to take off when the male driver that caused the accident happened to walk by her and she could smell alcohol on his person. This is when Aspenlund decided that she would stay at the scene until authorities arrived and wanted to ensure that the possibly drunk driver did not get away and cause injury to someone else.

The drunk driver is just walking around? He is going to leave his wrecked car at the scene?

When there was no positive response from either the 911 operators or when there was no sign of law enforcement authorities anywhere on site, Oxford made a second phone call to 911 nearly 30 minutes after her first call and this time added that she suspected that the other driver involved in the accident was inebriated and requested that responders bring a breathalyzer machine along with them.
Why was not calling 911 every minute? Why wait so long to call 911?

Seattle is pretty liberal city which means they do not care for police that much. If this is the way the city thinks their police force will respond in kind. Who knows why it took so long? It is a little disturbing it took that long. Seattle is not a well-managed city, their police force may have some issues.

Bridgeport man arrested in fatal drunk driving accident

Wtnh.com reports that 27 year old Jonathan Rosa – Whitlock has been taken into custody for alleged drunk driving after he turned himself in for an accident that occurred in April 2015 for which he had an arrest warrant. According to police reports, Whitlock was driving under the influence when he collided with another car on Rt. 15 in the area of exit 53. The impact caused the other vehicle to lose control, which ended up with the driver being killed. Such cases attract a second degree manslaughter charge according to drunk driving accident lawyers. Whitlock also has been charged with DUI and speeding, in addition to other charges. He posted bail at $15,000 bond.
