IRS Hackers Gained Access to 700,000+ Accounts

The Affordable Care Act’s website and law does not work. Social security is not viable anymore. The President’s stimulus plan did not work years ago. Sacramento, LA, Chicago, Oakland, and countless other American cities are broke and/or financially destitute because of mismanagement. Why does it seem hackers are so effective and productive but American government agencies and itself are so inept and pathetic?

OK, let's continue with things we do know....

Filing fraudulent tax returns using stolen identities is on the rise and 2016 has seen several such scams already. Scammers usually pry on unsuspecting, gullible victims and are able to extract information from them by making phone calls and pretending to be an IRS officer or through phishing scams where victims literally fill in all of their personal information and send it to the scammers on a golden cyber platter, as reported by USA Today.

Tax lawyers and the Internal Revenue System have already launched awareness campaigns to pay attention to the matter and to warn law abiding American citizens to not give away their personal information, especially their social security numbers and addresses.

If your tax world is blowing up – you need to go right here: Tax.USAttorneys. The IRS does not know about this site but thousands of people do across America and the search engines do as well. You can find this site anywhere the Internet exists. Use this site to find the tax legal help you require.

Hackers Broke into IRS Website by Answering Personal Identity Verification Questions

Tax scams are prevalent throughout the country and are usually small scale scams where fraudsters debunk one victim at a time. However, a group of hackers, in 2015, hacked into the Internal Revenue System’s network itself and had gained access to over 700,000 tax payer accounts. This number is more than double of what was previously estimated say tax attorneys.

According to cyber security experts, the hackers were able to break into the Internal Revenue Systems website by using tax payer information acquired through some other source to answer personal identity verification questions, in the “get transcript” section of the IRS’ website. Among the information stolen, say IRS officials, was social security numbers, birthdates, addresses, and other information which the fraudsters can now use to impersonate the tax payer and acquire tax refunds.

Upon the advice of cyber security personnel, the Internal Revenue System were quick to deactivate the “get transcript” functionality of the website in order to prevent further cyber security attacks.

IRS to take Measures to Protect American Tax Payers

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen has addressed the issue publicly and has stated that the Internal Revenue System will mitigate the risk of frivolous tax return filings by reaching out to tax payers whom they suspect may have been hacked (whose accounts show suspicious activity) and sending them a free Equifax identity theft protection product valid for one whole year. The IRS will also send out personal identification numbers to these tax payers which they will need to use to access their accounts in the future.

If America had a flat tax things would be much easier for Americans. If America had a better government and superior leadership, this would not happen as much and when someone is caught, the punishment would be much more severe. Under President Obama now, America is just weak.

Tax & Spend Obama Expected to Draft and Propose a $10 Tax on Every Barrel of Oil

$300 billion dollars a month is not enough. $410 billion dollars is enough either apparently. This is how much the US government takes in every month but it does matter since they will spend more than they receive regardless.

President Obama, in order to finance a transportation spending plan, is expected to propose a $10 dollar tax per barrel of oil, according to a USA Today report. But Congress, including many Democrats, have already said this will not pass.

Republicans were quick to find glaring flaws in the proposal by pointing out that this new tax would, unlike the gas task, be levied on the end consumer and not on the oil companies themselves. The socialist President Obama just cannot stand it when Americans have a little extra money and on top of this, Americans are already paying more for a health care system that has been damaged by his ACA and the ACA is not wanted by most Americans as well. America has never had such a petty and greedy President. Why not find a way to lower health care costs? Why not find a way to simplify the tax code? Why are there still troops in Europe Mr. President?
