Fatal Auto Accident on Interstate 10, Driver Killed

A fiery car accident which took place on Interstate 10 near Louisa has claimed the life of the driver, as reported by wwltv.com in which accident lawyers in New Orleans are reading heavily about. The auto accident occurred in the early hours of the morning near the Louisa street exit say authorities from the New Orleans Police Department.

Law enforcement officers responded to the call just briefly past midnight and were dispatched to the scene immediately to find a burned Mercedes Benz car and the body of an unidentified person in the driver’s seat.

According to eye witnesses, the male driver was attempting to exit Interstate 10 when for some unknown reason the car veered off the roadway and ploughed into a bridge pillar. The car immediately went up in flames which were extinguished by the NOFD.

Emergency medical technicians pronounced the driver dead at the scene. The car accident is still under investigation and the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s identity. Video footage and the police report could play a major role in establishing not only the cause of the accident but liability and any accident insurance claim by the victim’s estate, say auto accident lawyers in New Orleans, LA.

Woman that Killed NOPD Officer in Accident Court Ordered to Wear Ankle Bracelet

It has been nearly a year since the death of New Orleans Police Department Officer Vernell Brown Jr. The lady who has been accused of causing the fatal accident is yet to be convicted, but the court has ordered that she wear an ankle bracelet, as reported by nola.com.

Accident lawyers in New Orleans know that sometimes even the police are victims of car accidents via terrible driving.
The defendant in the case has been identified as Norma Morales who was in tears during the court proceeding as Judge Robin Pittman passed a court order which imposes a 10 pm curfew on her and also ensures that she wear an ankle bracelet at all times as she awaits her court trial which is scheduled to occur on September 6th. Accident attorneys in Louisiana point out that this is common in such situations.

Morales is a 22 year old restaurant employee from Metairie. She is currently free on a bond of $250,000 since she pleaded not guilty to criminal negligent homicide in connection with the accident.

Chain Car Crash Killed Officer Who was Outside His Car

The accident was a chain reaction where Morales allegedly caused the initial crash. The impact caused a Ford Mustang to strike Officer Brown who was actually walking along the guard rail to inspect an earlier, unrelated accident when he was struck. The accident occurred on US 90 near the eastbound Interstate 10 ramp.

Brown was on life support and unresponsive for 5 days after the car accident and then he was removed off life support as his condition further deteriorated.

This is a tragic case. How this could happen is hard to fathom.
