A 5 year old boy was killed in an
unfortunate accident involving a UPS truck on Cheryl Drive in Iselin. According
to nj.com, the boy was chasing after a soccer
ball on the street when he was unknowingly run over by the UPS truck.
The accident occurred at around 6:30 pm
after the 38 year old truck driver had just completed a delivery at an
apartment complex in the area. As per Woodbridge police, the driver got back in
the truck and did not see the boy who was attempting to retrieve the ball from
under the truck. The driver shifted the truck forward, which resulted in the
boy being run over and killed.
Reports by eyewitnesses indicate that
the UPS truck driver immediately called 911 on realizing what had happened.

train were unhurt the train operator sustained minor injuries.
