The victim was immediately airlifted from the accident site to University Health hospital via Life Air Rescue. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The police have not revealed the name and identity of the victim.

Police reports reveal that Shreveport Police were called to the accident site at about 2:20 pm. The accident took place at the intersection of Colquitt Road at Birdwell Lane.

Preliminary investigations by the police reveal that William Myer was driving a 2005 Ford Taurus and heading west on Colquitt Road. However, he tried to turn into a private driveway when he was struck by a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis, which was being driven by Pauline Wallace, an 82-year-old driver.

The Shreveport Times states that the collision caused Myer’s vehicle to spin out of control and hit another vehicle, a 2016 Jeep, driven by 27-year-old Brittany Lee. Shreveport, LA truck accident attorneys will be involved in this case and study it from every angle.

The officers, who arrived at the truck accident site, state that the driver of each vehicle was able to communicate coherently and did not appear to have sustained serious injuries. The officers claim at this point that they believe impairment was not the reason for the accident. Nonetheless, each driver was taken to a local hospital for a toxicology test. This was done in accordance with the prevailing state law.

The police are still investigating the reason for the accident and hence, the case remains open.
