Victim
was a chiropractor in Grayskale
As per police reports pertaining to the car
accident, Flores was allegedly trying to overtake a vehicle while eastbound on
Route 120 when he collided head on with a westbound car operated by the victim
who has been identified as 54 year old Malia Johnson. Johnson was the owner and
operator of Hainesville Chiropractic based in Hainesville.
The car accident caused Johnson to
become entrapped in her vehicle. She was extricated from the wreck by
responding firefighters and rushed to Advocate Condell Medical Center in
Libertyville where she breathed her last breath on May 14th.
Flores has been shown no mercy from
prosecutors who have filed several felony counts of aggravated DUI resulting in death, and
other charges that entail that he was not only drunk, but also under the
influence of other psychoactive drugs at the time of the car accident. He also
faces charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
If convicted of aggravated DUI, Flores
can be put away in prison for a maximum of 14 years say Illinois DUI attorneys

been drinking prior to getting behind the wheel and causing the car accident. Only
$50,000?
The legal pro representing Malia
Johnson’s estate said that the family was devastated by her death and that she
was a caring, compassionate, wife, mother, and physician.
An autopsy confirmed the official reason
of death of Malia Johnson as multiple trauma due to the crash.
Cop
Accused of DUI; Case Goes to Trial
Getting drunk while on duty and crashing your squad car, not smart! This is not Superbad! |
A Prairie Grove cop accused of an on-duty
DUI when he crashed his squad car sees his case going to trial. According to chicagotribune.com, the cop apparently told
another officer after the car accident that the glasses of eggnog must have
been bigger than he thought.
The cop in question has been identified
as Oscar Baez. He resigned from the Prairie Grove Police Department the day
after the auto accident which occurred back in November 2015. Responding
officers have testified in the case that Baez had slurred speech, his eyes were
watery and bloodshot, and that he said that his brakes had failed, which was
sufficient reasonable cause to arrest him say DUI lawyers in Chicago, IL.
