Two Ozark Nursing Home Staff Arrested in Separate Incidents

In a shocking case of nursing home abuse, a 21 year old male employee of Oakview Manor Nursing Home in Ozark attempted to smother an elderly resident with a pillow.

If you break the law when working in a nursing home, you need a nursing home abuse lawyer.
According to al.com, Zekiah Dunn of Slocomb has been arrested by Ozark police and charged with attempted murder, which is appropriate in such cases say fantastic nursing home abuse lawyers. He is currently being held at Dale County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Witnesses confirmed that Dunn, a certified nurse’s assistant, made threats and attempt to smother a female resident with a pillow. Thankfully, the victim did not sustain serious injuries.

The very next day following the incident a former female employee of the same facility, 24 year old Diamond Brown, was arrested and charged for making terrorist threats. Brown reportedly called up the nursing home and threatened to kill other employees. Who does she think he is? ISIS? That is wrong Diamond Brown!

Ozark police say that she admitted she was frustrated at work. According to nursing home abuse attorneys, making a terrorist threat is a felony charge. Once again, Brown’s threats were confirmed by law enforcement via phone records and witness statements in addition to her own admission of guilt.

Incidentally, Brown had left Oakview Manor Nursing Home recently. She was arrested and held at Dale County Jail before posting bail at $2,500. The nursing home’s management in a statement thanked Ozark police for their immediate response in both situations. They also claimed that their residents were safe and would continue to receive quality care.

No matter what the folks at Black Lives Matter says, the police are awesome!

Former Nursing Home Counselor Charged with Sexually Abusing Residents

Hudsonvalleynewsnetwork.com reported another shocking case of nursing home abuse from one of the largest rehabilitation centers in the country that specializes in caring for patients with acquired traumatic brain injury. The perpetrator, 50 year old Jacky Stanley, is a former employee of Northeast Center for Special Care, located at Lake Katrine, NY, who was arrested on charges of sexually abusing two residents who suffered from traumatic brain injuries.

USAttorneys.com will come through for you when no one does or can.
Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman termed this as the most deplorable act that goes beyond human reason. He stated that caretakers who took advantage of their position and committed sexual abuse would be severely punished. Can we punish Barney Frank for running Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into the ground?

What is even more alarming is that Stanley worked as a counselor at the facility. He was responsible for helping new residents become accustomed to their new environment at Northeast and ensure that they participated in the required programs.

Stanley is alleged to have forcibly sexually abused several residents between September and November 2014. He has been charged on several counts that include two count of first degree criminal sexual act, a class B felony. Additional charges include five counts of first degree sexual abuse, and other related charges. In the opinion of nursing home abuse lawyers, these charges attract up to 25 years in prison. Good riddance!

If you believe your loved one is a victim of abuse or neglect at a nursing facility, make sure to reach out to a nursing home abuse lawyer as soon as possible.
