Trial Date may be Postponed in Brownsville Nursing Home Abuse Case

Three defendants accused of nursing home abuse may get a new trial date, as reported by bgdailynews.com.

Nursing home abuse lawyers know that when a patient is being put into bed they are to be laid down gently, not dropped. Anyone who does this is just plain wrong and mentally imbalanced. Jerry Snyder needs to go to prison for along time.
The defendants in the lawsuit are Jerry Snyder, Kelly Duval, and Kayla Kinser and their original trial which was scheduled to occur later this week, but has now been postponed while on the other hand, three other co-defendants who already made a court room appearance on Monday for a pre-trial conference have all been ordered to come back to court for further legal proceedings on August 15th.

Probe reveals rampant nursing home abuse in Edmondson Center Nursing home

Of the three defendants, the lawsuit portrays 32 year old Jerry Snyder to be the main perpetrator. He has been charged with a staggering 14 counts of first degree criminal abuse, 14 counts of fourth degree assault, 14 counts of knowingly abusing an elder, and 2 counts of wanton endangerment of the second degree, which is in accordance with the nature of the crime say nursing home abuse lawyers.

The probe into the alleged abuse was led largely by Kentucky State Police and the Kentucky Office of Inspector General and Adult Protective Services. The lawsuit lists the names of two residents who are the supposed victims of abuse. All three defendants are former employees of Edmondson Center Nursing Home, which is where the alleged abuse transpired and the two victims identified in the lawsuit were both residents in the same nursing home.

Nursing home abuse attorneys point out that the type of abuse mentioned in the lawsuit is disturbing. The lawsuit claims that the abuse involved things such as pinching the noses and breasts of residents, dropping a naked resident into bed, shoving a gloved finger down a resident’s mouth, and then slapping the resident.

Some people may believe Jerry Snyder feels helpless and weak in his life so he takes it out on people that are weaker than him.
