recently announced the guilty plea for sexual abuse perpetrated while the defendant
was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant during his tenure at the Wayne

At a press conference it was revealed
that the defendant, Louis Magrino, had on multiple occasions sexually abused
the daughter of one of his patients. Magrino was in charge of two patients, an
84 year old and a 99 year old, and it was the 99 year old’s daughter that he had
abused.
The allegations in the lawsuit state
that Magrino had forcibly touched the breasts of the woman while exposing his
genitals to the resident and making sexually charged verbal statements.
Furthermore, Magrino pleaded guilty to putting the resident away in the
bathroom and then proceeding to sexual abuse the daughter. Louis Magrino, what are

Supposedly, another Certified Nursing
Assistant apparently heard the sound of a bell coming from the room of the 99
year old resident and responded to it and shockingly discovered Magrino
committing the lewd act.
Magrino has now been convicted of 11
counts of indictment for committing violent sexual abuse and multiple counts of
willful violation of public health law and public lewdness, which is expected
in such cases according to nursing home abuse lawyers.
Magrino’s sentencing has been scheduled

Anniston Nursing Home in Legal Trouble for

A nursing home in Anniston has been
cited by state regulators for failing to stop sexual abuse even after the
patient/victim raised the alarm bells, as reported by annistonstar.com.
According to the citation, the nursing home allowed a caregiver to continue
working with the same patient even after the patient had accused the care giver
of sexual abuse.
This blatant disregard for the cries of
the resident was uncovered by one of many inspections carried out by nearly 50
surveyors with the Alabama Department of Public Health, which inspects as many
as 230 nursing home once every 15 months or so.
The accused employee has since been
terminated from his position at the nursing home, but nursing home abuse
attorneys say the action is something which is too little too late. This seems like
a knee-jerk reaction by the nursing home after being penalized. What they
should have done instead is investigate the patient’s claims and take
appropriate measures right away to ensure no such events would transpire in the
future.
