Collision with Pickup Truck Leaves Two Injured in Washington County, Utah

Ed Kantor Public Information Officer of Washington County PD said that a two-vehicle collision happened in an intersection of Buena Vista Boulevard and Red Cliff Parkway just after 5 pm in which two people were injured. The crash happened between a car driven by a woman and a pickup truck in which two men were traveling, as reported by stgeorgeutah.com. The women turned left on Green Springs Drive and crashed into the pickup truck that was coming from the other direction.

The crash rendered the vehicles immobile causing a traffic snarl at the intersection. The impact deployed airbags in the vehicles and possibly saved the occupants from some grave injuries. The woman suffered from broken bones and was taken by emergency responders to Dixie Regional Medical Center. The passengers of the other vehicles too were taken to the hospital for evaluation. Thankfully everyone had their seat belts strapped so there was not any issues there. Investigations by the police and Utah truck accident lawyers are still occurring to determine the cause of the accident.

Did the woman have the right away? That is what needs to be determined.

Driver Seriously Hurt as Dump Truck Plummets Down a Ravine

According to a FOX report, a dump truck fell into a ravine in Weber County, injuring the driver seriously. The truck was traveling down 500 W. when it crashed into a pole and fell over the embankment into the ravine.

According to Ryon Hadley who is the police chief of Pleasant View, Utah, the vehicle came in the direction of the ravine through an intersection and simply went through a field before falling into the ravine. Fortunately, there were no other vehicles in the intersection at that time so no other cars were involved. Police are trying to determine the reason behind the crash. So is logic! How did this happen? Break loss?

Investigators are trying to find out if the driver had a medical condition or the vehicle had a mechanical failure that led to the crash as has already been briefly mentioned. Utah truck accident attorneys understand that these are the two major causes of accidents and subsequent personal injury lawsuits that stem from these accidents.

Utah Highway Semi Truck Accident Claims Life

US Highway 191 bore witness to a harrowing accident when a SUV travelling on the southbound road collided with a northbound semi-truck. The driver of the Durango was killed at the scene while the co-passenger escaped with non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Grand Junction by air ambulance. The passengers of the truck also suffered minor wounds, as reported by Fox Now.

Common Causes of Truck Driving Accidents

Utah truck-driving accident lawyers proclaim there are six common causes of accidents involving trucks that can lead to injuries and fatalities:

  •  Tailgating
  • Speeding
  • Improper lane changes
  • Driving while impaired
  • Fatigued driving (this happened to Dexter – but he only damaged his own car and nothing else)
  • Reckless driving
It is important to consult a truck-driving accident lawyer in Utah if you are injured in a collision with a truck. You are entitled to compensation from the driver’s insurance company but negotiating with the insurance company is a tough job since they have been around this block many times before and you have not. Also, you are not healthy and they are. Do not sign any of their paperwork. And do not give them access to your medical records!

If you are in this situation, give us a call. We can lead you to the legal professional you need that may just save your life, after the doctor's do!
