Bitter Court Battle, Paternity Issues and Allegations of Emotional Abuse Mar Keshia Pulliam-Ed Hartwell Divorce

American actress Keshia Knight Pulliam has accused her ex-husband Ed Hartwell of plotting to harm her and engage in unusual conduct in an attempt to have her abort/miscarry her unborn child, as reported by usmagazine.com.

You do not have to be an Atlanta, GA divorce lawyer to know that not all marriages last that long. Use USAttorneys.com to secure yourself that legal help. You have to be honest with yourself when you know your marriage can never be recovered.
Because the divorce and child support laws heavily favor woman, this type of stuff happens all the time.

Hartwell filed for divorce at the end of July after the two were married for just seven months. In an interview with pagesix.com, he is reported to have claimed that 37 year old Keshia wanted a baby really fast but he suggested that they focus on each other first before having a baby. Looks like Pulliam likes the anchor baby idea.

Hartwell requests paternity test

Incidentally, the former linebacker asked for a paternity test when he came to know of Keshia’s unborn child and have even moved out of the house. However, he later returned home to support her. Hartwell claimed that he couldn’t say she had been unfaithful but was sure she wanted to get pregnant and therefore asked for a paternity test to make sure it was his child. Atlanta, GA divorce lawyers point out that this issue sometimes crops up in the case of short term marriages.

Having a baby that your husband is not ready for, not quite the smartest thing to do. These types of vital things should be discussed before you are married. This is why some people take a pre-marriage class.

Pulliam seeks restraining order

Keshia Knight is reported to have filed the petition claiming that Hartwell plotted to harm her pregnancy in the Superior Court of Fulton County in Georgia. She also claimed that he mentally and emotionally abused her. She also alleges to have received threatening messages from an unknown number in Las Vegas, where the former NFL linebacker is from.

In response to his request for a paternity test Keshia has also requested a prenatal paternity test in the court documents and has sought a restraining order against Hartwell since she fears his violent and erratic behavior. So she married a violent and erratic person?

She claimed that her fears were reasonably justifiable and also sought that he turn over any firearms registered in their name to the local police department. Georgia divorce attorneys explain that such petitions are usually permitted depending on various circumstances.

Georgia mansion goes in fire sale

Hartwell filed for divorce seven months after their marriage, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’, which is accepted in the state, say Atlanta, GA divorce lawyers. Just two days after serving Keshia with divorce papers, Hartwell is reported to have sold his Georgia mansion at a loss of $580k late last month. The economy is not that impressive. Because of high taxes and job killing regulations, not too many Americans are doing well.

Celebrity watchers question the timing of the sale since Hartwell owned the home long before he got involved with and married Keshia. Maybe it’s the potential legal expenses that the former NFL linebacker is gearing up for.

Meanwhile, nydailynews.com reports that Hartwell has refuted all allegations of plotting to harm Keshia’s unborn child and said that she should be ashamed of herself for making such claims. He also dismissed rumors doing the rounds that he was trying to profit from their short-lived marriage. He certainly is not going to profit and it seems he made the wrong choice in who to marry or the fact that he chose to get married at all.

As is evident from the above story, divorces can get complicated. If you find a potential roadblock in your divorce, make sure to entrust your case to a Georgia divorce lawyer since the legal complications are many. This is the ideal way to protect your interests.
