Warrenville Resident Charged with DUI in Highway 421 Crash

Warrenville resident Willie Eubanks, 38, has been charged with a DUI and driving on a suspended license after causing a car accident, as reported by wrdw.com. The defendant was in a car driving northbound on Highway 421 when his vehicle collided with a pickup truck driven by 38 year old Sammy Salley of Barnwell. The latter was southbound when Eubanks attempted to make a left turn into a driveway and ended up colliding head on into Salley’s vehicle.

According to police reports, the car accident occurred near Weeping Willow Lane on Augusta Road. Both drivers were rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. South Carolina DUI attorneys point out that driving on a revoked license can only add to the penalties and punishment, making it tougher to defend the DUI charges.

Former Gamecocks Cornerback Faces DUI Charges

Victor Hampton, a former cornerback for the South Carolina Gamecocks, was recently arrested on DUI charges and driving with a suspended license, as reported by The State. This is not the first time the 24 year old cornerback has been caught on the wrong side of the law.

According to Columbia police, Hampton was spotted driving with only one headlight functioning when he was asked to pull over on North Main Street. The investigating officer detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, following which he was subjected to field sobriety tests and arrested.

If you have enough money to drink you have enough money to fix your headlight.

Earlier in 2015, Hampton was arrested in Charlotte for a DUI, speeding, having an open container, and reckless driving. The DUI charges were later dropped. Back in 2014 he was involved in a dispute with his sister and was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Autonomous cars will be awesome. No more DUIs!
