Former Fox News CEO Faces Multiple Allegations of Sexual Harassment

Former head honcho of Fox News, Roger Ailes faces a string of sexual harassment allegations that has rocked the TV and media world, as reported by nydialynews.com.

Carlson, the former Fox & Friends co-host, filed a lawsuit against Ailes alleging that he retaliated against her and put her career on the line after she refused his sexual advances and complained about the same. She left Fox & Friends in 2013 and launched The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson.

Carlson also takes on Steve Doocy, a co-panelist on Fox & Friends, claiming that he treated her in a sexist manner while they were colleagues. She also alleged that Ailes called her a ‘man hater’ when she complained about Doocy’s behavior in 2009.

Carlson also claims that Ailes limited her assignments on Fox News and fired her from Fox & Friends in 2013, following which she had to take a pay cut. In the lawsuit, Carlson seeks an undisclosed amount for loss of compensation, pain and suffering, and damage to her career. Megyn Kelly and six others also claim sexual harassment

Many believe her allegations potentially led to the Murdochs’ demand for Ailes’ resignation at the beginning of this month since they found great potential in her as part of the network. Kelly was the previous host of ‘America Live’ and currently hosts ‘The Kelly File’ as already indicated.

Some people believe her hair style and wardrobe budget could feed a few hundred hungry children in Africa.

Nydailynews.com reports that six more women have spoken up against Ailes and claimed that he demanded sex in exchange for career favors. In fact, over a dozen women have also made allegations against Ailes, and have contacted Carlson’s lawyer, Nancy Erika Smith. Of these, six agreed to go public, with four requesting anonymity, while two spoke on record.

These include a former model, Marsha Callahan, who claimed that Ailes sexually harassed her in the late 60s. Others include 54 year old Kelli Boyle, a former field adviser for the Republican National Committee, a 65 year old former TV producer, a 69 year old media consultant, and other former models.
