Ph.D. Student from Penn State Loses Life in a Car Accident

A Penn State Ph.D. student and employee lost his life tragically in an auto accident on State College premises earlier this year, as reported by collegian.psu.edu. The deceased was identified as Josef Blunschi who not only was pursuing his Ph.D. at the university, but also doubled as a part time employee for the university. He was a returning student who was pursuing his Ph.D. in energy and mineral engineering and one of his advisers made a statement that receiving his Ph.D. was Blunschi’ lifelong dream.
