Palm Beach’s largest commercial
landowner is Burt Handelsman and his wife just filed for divorce after being
married to him for 67 years. She claims that the 88-year old has been cheating

Lovey by her friends, has cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for
filing for divorce. She has filed several motions through her personal attorney
Splitsville Mayor Joel Weissman, to force her husband of many years out of
their marital home, which is worth $750,000 at 250 Worth Avenue. According to
court filings, Burt has refused to leave.
According to South Florida Reporter, Lucille filed for
divorce earlier this year on March 16th, and although there has been
no hearing yet, there are over twenty motions and counter-motions being argued.
The Handelsman’s fortune is largely in
real estate with properties not only in Palm Beach but also in Key West,
Greenwich, Connecticut, and New York City. As per sources, Burt has not filed his financial
documents but it is estimated that the Handelsman’s fortune could be worth
