A Delaware County grand jury has
returned with a 101-count indictment against a 55-year old woman from Columbus
who, according to authorities, stole thousands of pieces of jewelry and
personal items from the elderly.
Susan Gwynne was indicted on charges
that stemmed from a crime spree that went on for as long as eight years. Columbus,

Columbus Dispatch, the investigation began in January when a resident of a
senior living facility, Olentangy Trail in Delaware, made a report to law

Delaware County Prosecutor Carol O’Brien
stated in a news release that after the initial call, a picture of the suspect
was released by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office. Further investigation

Gwynne faces 43 counts of theft, third, fourth, and fifth-degree felonies; 31
counts of burglary and second-degree felonies. She also faces 15 counts of
receiving stolen property, first-degree misdemeanors. The jury has also charged
her with 12 counts of possessing criminal tools which is a fifth-degree felony.
