The identity of the child has been withheld by local law enforcement authorities pending notification of the family and parents of the little girl.

According to abc7.com, the suspect was transported to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center by a helicopter for treatment following which she was arrested. She has been identified as Magdalena Lisi of Canoga Park who also sustained serious injuries stemming from the car collision. The car accident site has been identified as Malibu Canyon Road just a mile or two to the north of Seaver Road in the proximity of Pepperdine University.

The little girl, who also comes from Canoga Park, was a passenger in the car and the relationship between the two of them is yet to be ascertained. A vehicular homicide charge is most likely in addition to a child endangerment charge in such a case, say Los Angeles DUI lawyers.

Lakewood Accident Kills Couple

A young couple succumbed to injuries that were caused by a late night car accident in Lakewood earlier last week. Police suspect that drunken driving or impaired driving may have been a causing factor in the auto accident. The fatal car accident is reported to have occurred at the intersection of Frankel Street and Paramount Boulevard, according to ABC News.

Residents who live by the intersection claim to have heard a big thud and then rushed out to help the victim. However, by the time authorities and emergency medical technicians could arrive on the scene, the young couple trapped in one of the cars was already dead.

The driver of the other car survived and has been taken into custody on suspicion of drunken driving. The accident remains under investigation. Toxicology reports and video footage of the auto crash could prove vital in establishing liability for the accident, according to California DUI attorneys.
