Lamborghini Driver Causes Fatal News Orleans Crash; Faces Vehicular Homicide Charge

30 year old Jason Adams has been charged with vehicular homicide after causing a fatal drunk driving accident that took the life of a female passenger. As reported by nola.com, Adams was in a Lamborghini and was traveling 118 mph when he lost control and crashed into a floodwall.

The accident took place on May 4th in the vicinity of Tchoupitoulas Street. 23 year old Kristi Lirette was killed on the spot following the impact of the crash. New Orleans, LA drunk driving accident lawyers point out that vehicular homicide is a very serious charge. If convicted, the defendant can face fines of up to $15,000 and between 3 and 30 years in jail.

Following a warrant issued against Adams, he turned himself in at the Orleans Parish jail. Toxicology reports indicated that his BAC or blood alcohol concentration was 0.11% at the time of the blood draw after the accident. He was rushed to hospital following the accident and attended court in a wheel chair. He was dropped off at the jail by his wife (Adams may have been having an affair – was his wife upset that she did not get to drive in the sports car?). His New Orleans, LA drunk driving accident attorney said her client was willing to take responsibility for his actions.

Speeding alleged to be cause of crash

The speed at which Adams was traveling was evident from tread marks visible the morning after the crash. Investigators believe he veered off the right hand side of Tchoupitoulas Street just after the curve to the left of Felicity Street. Several parts of the Lamborghini were visible around the accident area and on the floodwall. New Orleans, LA drunk driving accident lawyers from both sides are investigating the crash in order to gather evidence to determine liability and who can be held responsible for any compensation claim for the accident.

The victim’s father, Brett Lirette, said that the charges brought against Adams don’t necessarily bring the family much peace but Kristi Lirette should not have been driving with a drunk driver and was she having an affair? According to Adam’s defense attorney, his client intended to reach out to the Lirette family but the potential filing of a civil suit or wrongful death lawsuit decreased that possibility since potential defendants in a civil suit are not permitted to contact potential plaintiffs.
The appeal of driving in a Lamborghini squashed any warning signs.

Vehicle possibly linked to indicated plastic surgeon

Meanwhile, according to another nola.com report, the Lamborghini Huracan involved in the fatal DUI accident was owned or leased in the name of Dr. Ali Sadeghi, a plastic surgeon who was recently indicted in a second degree rape and video voyeurism case, which was confirmed in a New Orleans Police Department accident report. This case just grows branches on top of branches.

Sadeghi is listed as the owner along with a company, Axis Ventures LLC. The vehicle is reported to be insured by State Farm Insurance. The indicted plastic surgeon’s attorney said they were looking into the registration issues and denied that Sadeghi was involved or had any knowledge of the crash. So he will not need a New Orleans, LA drunk driving accident lawyer then – well that seems to be one positive aspect in his immoral life.

When you make terrible decisions and choose to drive with drunks in super cars, not even the police or  a New Orleans, LA drunk driving accident lawyer will be able to save you.
The doctor’s lawyer also claimed that his client did not own or drive the Lamborghini that was involved in the drunk driving crash. The victim’s drunk driving accident attorney believes that Adams and Sadeghi were some sort of business partners and that the vehicle was leased by Sadeghi.
