Man Charged with Manslaughter in an Accident that Left One Dead on I-10

As reported by chron.com, a man driving a Ford Expedition on I-10 hit a Ford Explorer traveling west in the same direction. The impact overturned the Explorer and tossed a passenger out of the car. Eye witnesses later claimed that the man driving the Expedition pulled over, walked up to the man dying man, then turned back into his vehicle and simply drove away.

Some people believe that is what society should do to that driver. Lock him up in prison, toss away the key, and then walk away. His drunk driving accident lawyer will have his hands’ full on this one but still should hire outstanding legal representation. Perhaps it was the Explorer’s fault the accident occurred in the first place.

The Houston Police Department (HPD) told reporters that the Ford Expedition was later spotted by Houston PD patrol officers. The extensive damage in the front of the vehicle left no doubt in the minds of the officers that it was the same vehicle that was involved in the crash. The driver was arrested after toxicology reports indicated a high BAC level. He was charged with intoxicated manslaughter, for fleeing the scene of an accident, and for failing to render help to the victim.

Since the family of the victim has not been notified the HPD refused to release the name of the victim. Whether the driver has contacted a drunk driving accident lawyer or not is unclear. According to legal experts, the drunk driver will most likely be held liable to pay compensation following the DUI accident.

Drunk Driving Injures Rochester Man

The incident happened in 3:45 am when a man was found lying in front of a vehicle near a pole. A bystander called for help and the police arrived shortly at the scene which was at a corner between Civic Center Drive and 1st Street SE in Rochester, MN, as reported by kaaltv.com.

The injured man was a passenger of a vehicle in which the driver was seen fleeing the scene after she hit a pole. The driver was later identified as Emina Sabackic. She and her passenger were later taken to a hospital where she was treated for facial injuries. The police got a warrant to enable the hospital to take blood sample to check the BAC. Sabackic now faces DWI charges and based on what drunk driving accident attorneys know she is also likely to face a criminal vehicular operation charge.
Sabackic needs legal help badly.

21 Year Old Woman Faces Court Hearing in a Fatal DUI Case

According to a CBS report, Katie McGrosso was charged with second degree murder for the death of Lorraine Kennedy and injuring her husband David Sandel of Brenham, Texas.

They couple had visited a restaurant with their son and his girlfriend and was walking back to their vehicle when the incident happened. Reports suggest that McGrosso was travelling at a considerable speed in an inebriated state when her vehicle struck Lorraine Kenney who landed on her windshield while her husband was tossed about 100 feet. Kennedy died on the spot and her husband was gravely injured. Both Kennedy’s son and her husband later testified against McGrosso.

Deputy District Attorney Cally Bright confirmed that McGrosso’s toxicology reports indicated that her BAC was .12%. McGrosso later told investigators that she went to a sushi bar where she had a glass of vodka followed by a shot of Fireball Whiskey and then four shots of saké. She has a prior DUI conviction at the age of 17 – so basically she just does not get it (will she get it now!?). At a preliminary hearing that lasted for two days Judge Lorna Alksne said there is sufficient evidence against the defendant to stand trial. It took two days to determine this?
